Precious Friends

You may adopt a puppy or small dog from Precious Friends, or place your litter in our program. 

Adoption

  In order to adopt a puppy you have to fill out an application form.  Once you are approved, we ask for $100.00.  The adoption fee may exceed $100.00.  The first $50.00 will go toward the worming, distemper, and parvo vaccinations the puppy has already recieved.  The other $50.00 will be returned to you upon the spay or neuter of the puppy, which is an adoption requirement.  The spay or neuter procedure is done at your own vet.  We do not do that here.  Sometimes the dog may already be spayed or neutered. 

  We take in an average of 400 puppies and 50 small breed adult dogs per month.  People whose dogs have unwanted litters of puppies can bring in the pups to Precious Friends at the age of 6 weeks, to receive free vaccinations.  Then, they can be brought back ten days to two weeks later to be placed up for adoption. 

  For every litter of puppies that is brought into our program, we offer a $25.00 reimbursement for getting the mother dog spayed.  All that the owner must do is bring us the receipt showing proof of the spay, and within four to six weeks the North Shore Animal League of America will send the reimbursement check of $25.00.
